The house was exactly as described, very close to two brilliant beaches (we preferred Kernevest for less seaweed!), with all the amenities in the house and close by required for a good holiday. The host kindly welcomed us with some local produce, and there were dishwasher and washing tabs, soaps, napkins, although little things they were useful and meant we didn’t have to buy them just for a week. Benoit answered all my (often mundane) questions in English and by email really fast, and also when I couldn’t get through on the French network to inform of arrival – this made life very easy for us, so thank you Benoit! Ghislaine was also very helpful and thorough at the beginning and end of the stay, showing us everything we needed. We would definitely return to the villa again. The only downside of the stay was that the rental deposit was taken by UK bank account which was subject to fees and charges of £13 plus on return the exchange rate meant I lost another £11. This could be avoided by leaving a cheque or cash to be returned at the end of the stay. Or for HomeAway/Abritel to sort out as they weren’t benefiting from this in any way.
